Titanfall

Holy shucks. A falling titan can crush a evac ship. Thank God. If you’ve played Titanfall, you know that feeling of failure when the enemy evac ship flies away. Well, destroying the ship just got easier.

Most people already know that you can drop a titan on a player and another titan and it will kill them, but what a lot of people didn’t know is that you can do the same for evac ships on curtain maps.

You can’t do it in Angel City or Outpost, but if the evac ship is somewhere low to the ground, like Boneyard, bombs away.

This relates to my spanish class because I am working on a videogame project. This made playing the game a whole lot easier. Now I can just drop my titan next to the ship and bam.

ET in a Hole

Literally, one of worst games in history was found buried in New Mexico. About twenty-one years ago, Atari was flopping. They sent fourteen trucks out to bury over one a million game cartridges. The exact location was never released to the public.
One of the games that were found is ET. ET was one of the largest flop of the 80's.

I really love that they found these games. I believe that they will just go in a museum. The ET game is a flop. I've played it before and it's an 8-bit, up down piece of crap, but historic crap.

What is the author’s point of view, and how does it impact the overall effect of the text?
The author sees the history in this event. He believes that the event as, "an important historical story that finally has an ending" (Claiborn). He also said that, "1983 was a bleak game for the videogame industry" (Claiborn), which I believe in fully. It was a horrid year for not only Atari, but console in general.

Drones looking for the airplane

Seriously, we are still looking for this plane. As you should know, a Malaysian Airlines flight went missing a while back. You should also know that nothing has been found. They are supposedly narrowing the search now. They are starting to use drones in their search. Submarines that will be working for twenty-four hours around the clock to narrow down the search.

This relates to a book that I read called Lord of the Flies. In the book, a flight goes missing.

What is the author’s point of view, and how does it impact the overall effect of the text?

The author seems excited about the the subs.

Captain America in England...What

If you live in America, you should know who Captain America is. Marvel has released a new movie about him called The Winter Soldier. There is a very controversial fact about a world wide movie about Captain America. It is in the last sentence. A man in Germany does not want to see a movie about Captain AMERICA. The Winter Soldier made $72.5million overseas. You might think that that’s a lot, but not when compared to other Marvel movies.

This relates to my Humanities class. We talked about independent film that actually do good. Everything that is made by Marvel is an independent film. Movies like Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, The Avengers, and Captain America is independent.

Honestly, I don’t like Captain America because I don’t think that he is a superhero, for the fact that he only helps America. Marvel made a bad move when they tried to make him a world class hero. Yeah, they did do good with him, but they could have done better with someone else. They could have used Ms. Marvel. Captain America is a world hero.

What is the impact of using statistics?

The author used many statistics. He told how much most of the Marvel movies made like he said,”Iron Man 2 earned $100m on its first overseas weekend”(Mendelson). He also admits that a statistic would be wrong if he tried when,”The first Thor had a slower international roll-out so the comparison doesn’t work as well”(Mendelson).

Yaaaaaaaay Torrenting Movies

If you don’t know what torrenting is, you probably own an IPhone. For the rest of the world who enjoys the illegal activity of getting free any and everything digital, I am very sorry to tell you that Popcorn Time shut down, but I am very happy to tell you that YTS has picked up the project. I don’t agree with torrenting. Popcorn time, if you didn’t know, was made to give a netflix like experience for free. It gave you new movies at the click of a mouse, but the awesome site closed down.  I do not agree with torrenting. YTS says that they have a better copyright standing, so it will stay open forever.  I do not agree with torrenting.

This relates to my movie class. It has a lot to do with spoilers. With torrenting, in America, you can get movies before they come out. Some of the movies have not even been finished. Hulk, for example, surfaced in the torrents with no music in it. The film was of poor quality, but torrenters got the just of the film and released the story summary online.

I agree with them taking down the site. It is illegal. Torrenting is like stealing. This doesn’t really affect me because I don’t torrent movies.

How does the author support his claim?

The author uses links to back up his claim. He uses links from TorrentFreak, Popcorntime, and TechCrunch. He also uses quotes from developers and one from YTS saying,”It's our vision at YTS that we see through projects like these and that just because they create a little stir in the public, it doesn't mean they are shut down”(Ingraham).

Heart membrane that can pump forever

        Can a human live forever? Yes, with the right technology. We are near that technology with this new 3D printed heart membrane. The membrane is meant to keep beating perfectly forever. It also helps prevent heart attacks, malfunctions, and other heart mishaps that leads to death.
It is only made to support a rabbit’s heart, but within the next ten to fifteen years, it will be available for humans.
This relates to my forensics class. We learned about the heart after death and what could cause death.
Honestly, I think that this would be good for someone who actually needs it. I think that a lot of people want it because they think that it will make them live forever, but it won’t. If the heart keep beating, we would just wither away, literally. Our bones would break down.
This would come out by the time I would need it. I could get one. It’s not going to be that expensive, but It will be rare.

 What is the central idea of the passage and how is it developed and refined throughout the selection? Use evidence from the selection to support your answer.

The idea of the passage is to inform you about the membrane. He uses a lot of facts and quotes about the membrane such as,” But this artificial pericardium is instrumented with high quality, man-made devices that can sense and interact with the heart in different ways that are relevant to clinical cardiology”(Diaz).

He also uses a picture of each step of the heart membrane being made and applied to the heart.

Nazi Experiments

In World War II, Nazi doctors experimented on many prisoners. The experiments were broken up into three different categories.

The first category was aimed for the survival of Axis military personnel. They used prisoners to see from how high a person could parachute from a plane. They also did experiments for hypothermia cures.

The second category was aimed for pharmaceuticals and treatment methods for injured soldiers. They were finding cures for different contagious diseases.

The third was for the spread of  the Nazi world view. This included experiments on twins and Roma to see how different races withstood different diseases.

There are other experiments that were aimed for the advancement of racial goals. One was to find an inexpensive way to sterilize Jews, Roma, and other races that the Nazis saw a undesirable.
